Sodexo’s objective was to increase the visibility of their employee referral program through a branded campaign with a greater depth of tactics than had been previously used to deliver the message. |
Solution: |
Davis Advertising worked with Sodexo to develop and implement the following for this successful program:
- Created the Star Finder program name and logo - now in its second version.
- Developed a microsite residing at www.sodexostarfinder.com. This site has a special video spokesperson who explains the program to any newcomers to the site and many valuable links to valuable information that employees need to know to make a referral. The site has had 2,066 unique visitors over the past 3 months alone, 65% of whom are new visitors.
- Sets of business card-sized referral information cards slipped into special vinyl sleeves so employees can be armed with information to distribute to potential referral candidates when attending seminars, conventions, etc.
- Special Star Finder e-cards customized for each major business unit within Sodexo. Each e-card allows for some customization of the message and can be edited and distributed through an online gallery developed by Davis Advertising.

Results: |
For the first seven months of the fiscal year ending May 31, 2009 Sodexo:
- Received 450 more referrals year-to-date than the previous year.
- Hired an impressive 33% more referral candidates.
